HELP #EndALS NOW!

ALS Action Canada is asking for your  help end ALS forever.

Right now, over 3000 families in Canada are affected by this devastating disease, and 1,000 more receive this diagnosis every year.

Currently, there is no cure. But for the first time ever, there IS hope.

A highly-promising new drug treatment, Amylyx Pharmaceuticals’ AMX0035, is being submitted to Health Canada in the next few months. There are also 80+ clinical trials underway worldwide that are testing experimental drug treatments, and doing exciting research that can lead to even more new treatments.

We are asking for your help so we can bring these new drug treatments and clinical trials to all Canadians.

All funds raised will go towards ALS Action Canada’s work to:

  • Ensure immediate access by Canadians with ALS to promising new drug therapies (including AMX0035)
  • Ensure healthcare plan coverage for ALS drugs and treatments in every province
  • Bring more and better-designed clinical trials to Canada
  • Urge the federal and provincial governments to meaningfully fund ALS research in Canada, NOW.

ALS is a ticking time bomb, and families impacted by ALS don’t have time to waste.

And if you’re from BC and you’re donating all or part of your ICBC rebate cheque, thank you! Please feel free to take a selfie of you with your cheque and post it on social media, #ICBCRebateChallenge #EndALS!

If everyone in BC donated just 5% of their rebate cheque(s) it would amount to $30 million. This would be an unprecedented amount of ALS funding in Canada and would help accelerate the search for treatments and a cure. After 160 years, we must #EndALS.

On Facebook, make the post shareable by changing the privacy setting to “public.”
If you like, tag 3 other people in your post and nominate them to take the “challenge” to help #EndALS.
According to ICBC the average cheque amount is $190 – a 5% donation would be $9.50.
There is no rule against donating more than 5% AND posting a selfie. 🙂

Thank you for your support of Canadian families with ALS!
